Since September, 1997, the "Picture My World" project at the Palm Beach Photographic Center has offered an opportunity for disadvantaged youngsters ages 10 - 17 to learn new skills and express themselves. The Program Leader, Denise Felice, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Photography. She is also a registered nurse and was the Director of Health Services at Lynn University from 1988 to 1994. She has won many awards for her work with children and seniors, and has introduced child abuse prevention programs in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Her "Picture My World" project is now in its 12th year, and the students have had photo "pen and e-pals" in Israel, Tanzania and Poland.

We are proud to present the work of these talented youths each month at Young at Art. The girls and boys would also love to hear your comments.

These are legitimate questions that are raised this month: how do we treat each other? how do women and men relate?
